Werner Sand Dune Model
An implementation of the Werner cellular automaton model for sand dune formation, with adjustable parameters and nice hillshade views.
Internal Migration Viewer
An interactive map showing internal migration flows between local authorities in England and Wales, with breakdowns of inflow, outflow, net migration, top origins/destinations, and age demographics. Built as an entirely static site, by compressing and reducing data where possible.
GP Catchments
Find which English GP practice catchment areas cover a given location. Search by postcode or click on the map to see all GP practices serving that area, with links to NHS practice details. Built as an entirely static site, by compressing and reducing data where possible.
Missing Vowels
An implementation of the 'Missing Vowels' round from the Only Connect TV quiz show. Enter some words/phrases, and this will take out the vowels and squish up the consonants - your task is to guess the word/phrase.
URL Splitter
A utility that breaks down URLs into their component parts, making it easy to inspect query parameters - I built this as I end up fiddling with query parameters a lot at work.
Note Quest
A musical note teaching tool for children. Identify notes on the treble clef stave by name and by finding them on a piano keyboard.
